-In Apolafsi restaurant, at Platanakia village of Samos’ island.

-Is there a class held every day?

-Yes, as long as there are at least 4 participants.

-Is there a cooking class that lasts more than one days?

-There are four day cooking seminars prepared, seminars that will give you a bigger picture of what Greek gastronomy is all about.

-Who organizes the cooking classes?

-Argiro Zafiri, owner and chef of Apolafsi restaurant, and her team.

-Is there something I need to have with me?

-Nothing! Just be ready to have a great time!

-Do I need any kind of “tools”?

-You don’t need to bring anything. Argiro and her team will provide you with everything that you need.

-Do I need to bring a notebook to write down the recipes?

-Argiro herself will send you the recipes through e mail.

-How long does the cooking class take?

-Cooking and eating (what you cooked): 4 hours in total.

-Is it difficult?

-It is really simple and easy. You can even surprise your friends back home by organizing your very own Greek cooking class!

-Who am I going to cook with?

-With the other participants and of course with Argiro and her team.

-How about the ingredients?

-You will be able to visit the garden and harvest fresh vegetables and herbs needed for the recipes! All the rest will be provided by Argiro and her team.

-What exactly are we going to cook?

-All time Greek favorite dishes like gemista (stuffed vegetables) and youvetsi (meat with pasta in tomato sauce), some “meze” and of course make the Greek salad and the tzatziki.

-And what happens to the food I am going to cook?

-After you cook, you enjoy the fruits of your labors accompanied by chilled local wine.

-Can I also make bread?

-Of course you can! It’s a wonderful procedure.

-Is it easy to find the ingredients for the recipes back home?

-The recipes are very simple and if you think there is something you could not find we will provide you with it. Just don’t forget to ask Argiro!

-If I want to participate, and my family/ friends don’t, is there something they can do around Platanakia village while I am attending the class?

-They can go swimming to Platanakia beach, within 100m distance from Apolafsi restaurant or even walk through the famous Nightingales’ valley (5 min. walk).

-Can I cook a meal for my family/ friends?

-It is possible! You will sort everything out with Argiro!

-How can I get to Platanakia? Do I need my own transportation?

-Even if you don’t have your own transportation, there is a local bus that stops right outside Apolafsi restaurant!

-Are there rooms for rent around the area?

-There are really nice rooms, owed by local people that will make sure you will have a great time! Please take a moment to look at the useful links you will find on our web site.

-What else can I do around Ag. Konstantinos area?

-You can swim, walk the amazing paths around Valeontades, drive up or hike up the traditional Manolates village (10 minutes drive) and enjoy the excellent food. Also some of the people that rent rooms can give you the opportunity to be a part of the process of making local wine!!!
